Coronavirus has reached Karachi in recent days, with two reported cases in the metropolitan city. To avoid the possible transmission of the deadly virus, fans of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be required to undergo mandatory medical screening for entry into the Karachi National Stadium.
The move is being taken as a precautionary measure and the matches will go forward as originally planned, the government of Sindh has stated.
Hand sanitizers will also be accessible for the spectators inside the Karachi National Stadium. PSL will return with a fixture between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars in Karachi on 12 March.
There are a total of 5 matches yet to be played in Karachi, including the Qualifier. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been assured by the Sindh government that the situation is under control, providing clearance for upcoming PSL matches in the provincial capital.
